Find results in 3 steps:
Step 1: Enter a ProbeSet ID or a Probe Set name and click the "GO" button to begin your search. Or you can choose from the list of most popular search terms.

Step 2: Once the Probeset Analyzer launches expression levels for the first available Probe Set will load. Click the "VIEW" link to see other available expression levels.

Note: In some cases multiple probe sets may contain similar description terms.

Step 3: Step 3: Adjust the sliding bars to position patients into High, Mid and Low Expression Level groups.

A Kaplan-Meier Curve, with corresponding p-value is generated based on each change to these patient groups.

Profile of Array Data:
The current set of array and survival data comes from consented patients treated by UCLA's Neuro-Oncology program. Tissue samples used are identified as "Newly" diagnosed or "Recurrent" Primary Brain Tumor samples.

79.9% of the samples used had a pathologic diagnosis of Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), followed by Anaplastic Astrocytoma (AA) 6.7% , Anaplastic Mixed Glioma (AMG) 6.7% and Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma (AO) 6.7%.

Patient survival, Time-To-Progression, Treatment Plans and over 600 other variables are maintained by the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program.

How was the expression data obtained?

Expression data was obtained on consented patients treated by the UCLA NeuroOncology program.

Array creation and normalization of data was performed by the Nelson Lab at UCLA.

How do I analyze my own gene expression data?

Probe Set Analyzer is a free tool for Institutions utilizing the ProviderIQ Application Framework.

To correlate your institutions gene expression data with patient survival using the Probe Set Analyzer your data will need to be loaded into this application framework.

For more information contact SiliconMED.

Can I prevent guests from searching my data sets?

Yes, you have complete control over who can search your data.

You may choose to share your data publicly, share by institution or share by a single user.

Are probe set values available for download?

Gene expression values from the Nelson Lab at UCLA are available free of charge. Contact the Nelson Lab directly for more information.
